About Me

Briefly about me and what I do.

Hi!

I'm Alex and I'm a web developer and, quite often, a designer.

My main stack includes Laravel, Inertia.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, Angular, and even Livewire/Alpine. Beyond web development, I’m also actively learning iOS development.

I started my coding journey in 2008 and built my first professional website in 2010. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients — most of them based in France — as a contractor. I’ve collaborated in teams of various sizes, from small two-developer setups to larger teams of over a dozen people, and I’ve also taken on roles such as tech lead and Scrum Master.

As a freelance full-stack developer, I’ve gained extensive experience building products from scratch: starting with design in Figma or Sketch, moving through rapid integration using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (mostly TypeScript over the past eight years), and finishing with backend development and DevOps. My work often extends beyond purely technical tasks and includes defining business models, shaping products, and acting as a product owner. I’ve also had the opportunity to coach junior — and even experienced — developers in Vue.js, which I genuinely enjoyed.

I strongly prefer working with TDD, a practice I’ve introduced to several teams, whether on Laravel or TypeScript projects. I’m comfortable joining existing projects of any size, even those with little or no documentation — often the most interesting challenges.

Even though I’m working on my finance tracking app, Accountit, and writing articles for this blog, I’m open to new contracting opportunities. Feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn in English, French, Russian or Slovak (in accordance to your language preference).
